Deep breath here. You’ve got some mighty high expectations on yourself right now, and your self-talk isn’t always so kind. I wish I could reach through this screen and give you a BIG hug and tell you that you’re doing way better than you think!
You’re doing enough. You are enough. You are strong, and oh so capable. It’s time to start believing in yourself, my beautiful friend.
👇 I’ve got just the pep talk for you, and I know it’s going to speak directly to your soul.

It's not a short answer, I'm afraid. Those high expectations you've set for yourself have been collected over your entire life. Every time you ever felt behind, or like you'll never catch up... Every person you've compared yourself to... Every ounce of pressure you applied to your own success story... It adds up. It compounds. It intensifies.
Until suddenly it's all you can feel: behind, unworthy of success, and like it'll never be enough.
OH, and the WORST PART is that when you make some sort of progress is feels like a tiny drop in the bucket, barely worthy of your time or celebration!
This whole "not enough" mindset steals a lot of joy from your journey.
Even just the fact that you're here right now tells me you're willing to see and do things differently. That's the first step in tending to that part of you that feels far from enough.
Enoughness is a practise. It is not a "one and done" kind of thing. It's something that grows and builds over time as you change the soundtrack of your inner dialogue.
You're carrying a lot of pressure on your shoulders right now. It's time to reevaluate what's in there. The voice that once bullied you into feeling like you'll never get to where you're going can become the voice that offers encouragement and support while you're working towards your next goal.
That's the power of learning to coach yourself: you're building a set of skills that you can keep with you wherever you go.
I'd love to see you out of that cycle that beats you down, and bring your focus back inwards so that you can enjoy the journey, not just the destination.
This is one of the most raw, real, and emotionally charged episodes I've ever put out, and based on where your mindset is today, I think it'll find you like a big cozy blanket, and remind you that you're not alone in anything you're feeling.
It took me a long time to tell this story.
It's no one else's. By keeping the focus on YOU, have the power to dissolve the illusion of being behind. You are so wildly capable of whatever it is that's worthy of putting your mind to. It's time to start believing that.
Seriously, hit play on the podcast episode linked above because I think it'll be really powerful for you. We don't get to hear a ton of examples of failure and self-doubt in entrepreneurship. You can find it on any podcast app you listen to, or hit play right from your phone or computer.
I'm Laura Kelly, a life & business coach living in Ottawa, Canada with my husband (we've been together since we were 17!) and our two kiddos, Cooper and Jilly.
My daughter may or may not have been named after one of the Real Housewives of New York, which should help to set the tone for my deep, deep love of reality television.
I've been self-employed since I was 21, when I quit my job as a legal assistant to pursue photography full time. In 2018 I realized I had built that business beyond my wildest dreams, and I knew I was ready for a new challenge. Now, I help people like you discover how to quiet their self-doubt so they can fearlessly go after their next goal.
I'm big on romanticizing life, celebrating progress of all sizes, and the impact of long-haul personal development vs. focusing on quick fixes.
A deeply nourishing episode for your soul when you're not quite feeling yourself. It's a mindset shift that'll feel SO good.
A LOT has changed, including the tone of my self-talk, my boundaries, my relationship with my accomplishments, and my sense of self. Let's really go there.
You're the EXACT person I created this online community for:
At CHEER CAMP we layer on personal growth & development concepts each month, so that you can quiet the forces of self-doubt, comparison, pressure to succeed, and imposter syndrome.
This is the place where you'll build strength in your inner cheerleader, so that your worthiness is innate. It's time to change up the soundtrack of your mind. You deserve it.
I'll be popping into your inbox later this week with some more resources and encouragement to support the mindset that would better serve you; one that offers frequent reminders that you're exactly where you need to be, and supremely worthy of all that you desire. Trust me, that's where the magic happens.
Let's take the pressure off, shall we? And let's turn up the volume on that inner cheerleader of yours who is dying for your ear-space. 🙌
