In the first two parts of this series, I shared my story of collecting thoughts, beliefs, and experiences that were centered around an obsession to find myself in a smaller body. In part three, I’m opening up about the beginning of the healing process, including:
- how I searched my history and re-labelled my experiences in a way that would support a journey of food freedom and body acceptance
- the resistance I felt at first when confronted with new information that felt like a threat to everything I had previously believed about health, food, exercise, well-being, and self-love
- and the big takeaways from the 8-10 week program I did with a coach, which kick-started this whole healing process
This episode is not designed to replace the real work that happens when you’re working with someone who is trained in this arena. I only aim to share my experiences, knowing that I would have loved to hear about someone else’s story in more detail than what could ever show up in a testimonial on a sales page.
